Salt from Lake Deborah is
transported to Fremantle
by rail.

Westrail have 80 stainless
steel containers designated
for salt traffic only, to
prevent contamination of
the salt.

Each container holds
approximatley 21 tonnes of
salt.

Salt containers are
delivered to the Fremantle
site as often as daily in the
busy season, and fewer in
Winter.
